Car Water Leak Repair

Water leaks in your vehicle can be frustrating and, if left untreated, can lead to more serious issues such as mold growth, electrical damage, or interior deterioration. The reasons for leakages are multiple and often require a thorough diagnosis to pinpoint the exact source. Common causes of leaks include:

  1. Sunroof drainage issues: Clogged or damaged sunroof drains can cause water to seep into the cabin.
  2. Cracked roof seams: Over time, the seams on your vehicle’s roof can develop cracks, allowing water to enter.
  3. Faulty third brake light: A poorly sealed or cracked third brake light can be a common entry point for water.
  4. Plugged air intake: Debris or blockages in the air intake system can lead to water accumulation.
  5. Aftermarket accessories: Improperly installed aftermarket parts, especially those routed through the firewall, can create gaps for water to enter.
  6. Worn seals around doors or trunk: Damaged or aging seals can fail to keep water out.
  7. Improperly installed windshield or rear glass: If the windshield or back glass was not installed correctly, it can lead to leaks.
